            The project of the Ministry of Education’s National Research Programme I was coordinated b
            developed in collaboration with Institute of Sociological Studies, Faculty of Social Scien

            University in Prague, Institute of Sociology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, a
            of Social Studies, Masaryk University, Brno. It focused on studying the present situation,
            development prospects of social and cultural cohesion in the Czech society. Its objective 

            realistic strategies for strengthening cohesion on the macro, i.e. national level as well 
            and micro levels. Implementation was based on extensive national questionnaire surveys, co

            analyses relying on international databases, institutional analysis, analysis of data abou
            Republic’s internal peripheries, and in-depth and group interviews with selected categorie
            population.
